Sea Cave Black Emerald - Seaglass Ring

Genuine surf tumbled sea glass, beach combed from the beautiful Atlantic coast and set in a handmade solid silver ring.

This rare coloured super dark emerald green is almost black until you turn it into the light and catch bright green flashes and highlights. A mysterious and dramatic statement ring. A durable design using a heavy weight of silver making it very strong and hardwearing. 

Authentic sea glass takes 20 to 40 years, and sometimes as much as 100 to 200 years, to acquire its characteristic texture and shape. Very dark green, olive or black glass is one of the rarest colours and oldest types of seaglass or drift glass. 

Some shards of black glass are quite old, originating from thick eighteenth-century bottles which were used to transport goods sailing across the Atlantic between Europe and the Caribbean or Americas.

A completely handmade one of kind piece and a wonderful gift for anyone who loves unique handmade jewellery or the ocean.
